If you like thrillers of the post-apocalyptic variety then make sure you've got 25 May in your diary -Snowpierceris dropping onNetflix, and if it's anything like as good as the 2013filmof the same name, directed byParasitedirector Bong Joon-ho, then it promises to be worth a watch.

Both are based on the 1982 French graphic novelLe Transperceneige, which follows the passengers on an ever-moving train that circles the globe - which has become an uninhabitable frozen wasteland, by the way.

Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly star in the 10-part series alongside Mickey Sumner, Annalise Basso, Sasha Frolova and Alison Wright, with Graeme Manson producing and the aforementioned Joon-ho serving as an executive producer.

The synopsis reads: "Set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland,Snowpiercercentres on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe.

"Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival are questioned in this riveting television adaptation. The series is based on the acclaimed movie of the same name."

When you do sit down to watch it in a couple of weeks, you might feel more grateful knowing just how much hassle was involved in getting it made in the first place.

The show was initially put into production way back in 2015 at network TNT, but creative differences led it to falter and it remained in development until last year, flitting between networks along the way.

But after god knows how much debate behind the scenes, all you'll have to do is press play. Hurrah.

Once you rattle through all that, you won't have long to wait until the final season of13 Reasons Whydrops on the streaming service.

It was announced earlier today (Monday 11 May) that it will land on 5 June, alongside a clip showing the cast and crew in tears as they worked on the final episodes.

Although plot details are fairly thin on the ground at the moment, the fourth season will show the group of teens preparing to graduate. But, as the synopsis explains, 'before they say goodbye, they'll have to keep a dangerous secret buried and face heartbreaking choices that could impact their future forever'.

There'll be 10 one-hour long episodesand hopefully it will provide a satisfying conclusion for fans who have enjoyed thecontroversial showsince it first landed on Netflix in 2017.
