Wrestling legend Rey Mysterio speaks out to address Jennifer Aniston dating rumours

Rey Mysterio has revealed the truth behind the Jennifer Aniston dating rumours.

"She’s been to four of my matches and we’ve become good friends," the outlet claimed Mysterio had said. "She told me she loves my wrestling."

Most will be are aware that Rey's in-ring persona means that he never takes his mask off.

"I always wear my mask — ALWAYS!! It’s a big tradition in Mexico, my native country," he allegedly added.

"But I broke tradition when I met Jennifer. I actually let her see me without my mask backstage.

"I’ve never done that for any of my fans. She really got a kick out of it. We talked for some time and exchanged home phone numbers."

I mean, why can't a happily married WWE superstar - to wife Angie Gutiérrez - be friends with aFriendsstar, right?

When asked how long he had been dating Aniston for, Mysterio simply joked: "About a week."

"They just threw it out there," the baffled superstar said, admitting that the story was simply BS.

Ah well, it was good while it lasted.

In his 2009 bookBehind the Mask,Mysterio questioned if 'somebody wanted to get my name out there and started the rumour', adding that he found the whole scenario 'funny'.

"I even showed the story to my wife — best coming from me, no? The locker room got on me for it," he wrote.

"'Hey, Rey, what’s up with you and Jennifer?' someone would ask. 'What do you mean?' I answered.

"'What’s up?' They wouldn’t let it die. Over the next few weeks and months they were ribbing me in all sorts of ways.

"I’m lucky Photoshopped pictures of me and Jennifer didn’t appear on television somewhere."

Aniston also dismissed the story herself in 1997 and claimed that she had 'never met a wrestler in her life'.
