People are blown away by how realistic Amsterdam looks in new Call Of Duty

Footage has been doing the rounds that shows off the advanced graphics in the newCall of Duty: Modern Warfare IIvideo game, and if you have a look at the video below, you’ll notice that they look absolutely unbelievable.

The popularfirst-person shooter gameappears to have really stepped up to the mark with this one, creating a version of the Dutch capitalAmsterdamthat you’d believe was actually a film of the city itself at first glance.

The game, which is out next Friday, features a campaign mission that takes a wee stroll around the city, famous for canals, bicycles, andabsolutely nothing else.

Instead of taking a load off in one of the city’s many coffee shops or – let’s say – other establishments, you’re probably going to have to perform some sort of stressful combat related task, which doesn’t sound exactly like a relaxingcity break.

One thing that is for certain though is that you’ll be able to drink in the visuals, as the graphics seem to be right up there with all of the other next-generation games that are available at the minute.

That’s doubly impressive because the download file size of the game is actually smaller than the previous release from the same series.

Fans are rightly excited for the game to release on October 28, as there have been new modes added to the game includingWarzone 2and Ground War, whatever those are exactly.

One fan gushed: “Can I just walk around here without the shooting? I think I’s have more fun looking at these sights!”

To be fair, the same could be said of many games, if you’re not a hardcore gamer.

Another pointed out: “I have to say that game graphics have moved on a bit from the days of Pong”

Yes, but it’s still an absolute classic, regardless.

A third simply said: “WHAT?! I REALLY thought it was real life... damn! what a time to be alive!”

What a time to be alive, indeed.

If you’ve already signed up and pre-orderedModern Warfare II, you’ll be able to experience this campaign already, with it dropping as part of a package of bonuses for early-birds on October 20.

If not, you’ll have to wait until next Friday to get the full experience, although it looks as if it will be worth the wait.

Hopefully there’s a side quest in which you can go and get some pancakes and enjoy one of Amsterdam’s many delightful museums.

After all, why else would you go to Amsterdam?
