EA Confirms No Russian National Team Or Clubs Will Appear In FIFA 23

EA has confirmedFIFA 23will not feature any Russian national team or clubs.

The move was made in response to Moscow's decision to invade Ukraine and launch an all-out war with the eastern European country.

Russian teams were pulled fromFIFA 22shortly after the invasion kicked off in February earlier this year.

However, a decision has been made to ensure they don't end up there in the first place for the next instalment.

"Our primary concern is the ongoing safety of those in the region, particularly colleagues and partners.

"We are seeking to understand how we might best help them further beyond our programs that are already in place."

While Russia has been hit by numerous sanctions from international governments, they've also copped it heavily from major companies, who have decided to take a stand.
