First images of the Studio Ghibli theme park have arrived and fans have gone wild

Fans have been given a sneak peek of theStudio Ghibli theme parkand are absolutely losing it.

The amusement park, slated to open on November 1 this year, will feature attractions fromStudio Ghibli’smost notable films, includingSpirited Away, My Neighbour TotoroandHowl’s Moving Castle.

So, if you’ve ever wanted to know what it’s like to step into the mind of the greatHayao Miyazaki, now is your chance.

The upcoming park just unveiled the first look into the magical world, withanimeenthusiasts salivating.

One eager fan wrote: “I've never wanted to go somewhere more than I wanna go here.”

Another said: “God please bring me in there, give me chance.”

A third person shared: “Bucket list #71637: come here with future hubby.”

So, people, you might want to catch that Catbus heading to Japan quick smart!

Fans were also delighted to see that the upcoming park will feature the proprietor of The Bathhouse Yubaba fromSpirited Awayand even a playroom, where you can spot a sleeping Totoro.

The park is located in the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park in Nagakute city near Nagoya, about a three-hour train from Tokyo.

It will be divided up into five different areas: Ghibli's Large Warehouse, Hill of Youth, Dondoko Forest, Mononoke’s Village and Valley of Witches, as perTimeOut.

However, fans will have to wait a little longer for Mononoke’s Village and Valley of Witches, as they won’t open until 2023 and 2024.

The park will also include exhibition rooms, a shop, a cafe, and a 170-seater theatre, located in the Mitaka Forest Ghibli which will showcase the work of Studio Ghibli.

The theatre will present nine to 16 minutes of films directed by Hayao Miyazaki, which have only been released at the Ghibli Museum in Tokyo.

The Hill of Youth is the entrance to this enchanting Ghibli world, which pays homage toHowl’s Moving Castle,Laputa: Castle in theSky, Whisper of the Heart, andThe Cat Returns.
